The 14th Annual Super Saturday is here! |
The Village of Union Grove’s 14th Super Saturday is scheduled for Saturday, September 11, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. This is a celebration of kids, community, family and quality of life in Union Grove. The annual event offers activities for young and old alike.
The first Super Saturday was in 1996 and was developed as a back to school event where people could get to know their neighbors and the focus was on children and safety issues. Today the day has expanded to a celebration of family, community and the quality of life in the Union Grove area.
The theme for Super Saturday 2010 is “American Heroes”. The theme is quite fitting for this year’s event since it falls on September 11th. As always, Super Saturday 2010 includes displays from area schools, public safety providers, health providers, service organizations and local businesses which provide relevant information related to all aspects of the community. The day is designed to be very inexpensive and family friendly and to show everyone what a wonderful community Union Grove is. There is a great deal to offer that people should be aware of and enjoy.
